Mo'Nique, the stand-up comic who was duly rewarded with a supporting-actress Oscar nomination for her abominably abusive mother in Precious, was heading off to do her BET talk show this morning after learning of her good news.
But just don't call it work. "I'm going to the playground," she says with an infectious laugh. "I can't call this work. I going to get made up and put on pretty clothes."
But will she find time to celebrate? She laughs again. "Baby, I am celebrating right now. With all my friends." (USA TODAY)
