Boyz II Men member Shawn Stockman, is the latest celebrity to contract swine flu, causing him to cancel his Soul Train Music Awards performance.
Stockman's diagnosis was confirmed Tuesday to CNN by his fellow band mates Wanya Morris and Nathan Morris.
"We tour eight months out of the year, and we are always traveling around," Morris said. Stockman was unable to fly to Atlanta Tuesday (Nov. 3) for their scheduled performance at the Soul Train Music Awards. "It's hectic for us always being in airplanes and airports," Morris added. "He got sick, and it hit him pretty hard."
Recently, Brian Littrell from the Backstreet Boys was hit with the virus, also known as H1N1.
"We go all over the world really, so I am surprised it hasn't happened earlier, to be honest," Morris said regarding Stockman. "I talked to him today, and he is doing much better." --Linda Hobbs (VIBE)
